Made For Now

We design to challenge how time is experienced. It doesn’t just pass – it’s something you live through. Time is our material. Now is our canvas.

Berlin, By Design

Berlin is not just a backdrop. It’s how we think. Shaped by culture and experimentation, we design with intention. Awarded globally – unmistakably: Berlin.

Proven to Perform

Good design is accessible. Backed by a decade of experience, our pieces are crafted with precision and built to be worn daily.

Mesh Straps – Modern, Flexible, Built for Every Day

The mesh strap is the most versatile option in the range. It sits close to the wrist, adjusts steplessly and reads lighter than a linked bracelet – without being any less premium. If you want a watch that works from morning to evening without swapping the strap, reach for the mesh.

316L steel – what that means

The mesh straps are made from 316L steel – the same alloy used in medical instruments. That has practical implications: the material is hypoallergenic, corrosion-resistant and skin-friendly even for sensitive skin and daily wear over many hours. Anyone who reacts to nickel or has generally sensitive skin is well placed with 316L. No discolouration, no irritation, no rust.

The woven metal mesh is not only functional but a design element: the mesh strap reflects light differently from a linked bracelet – softer, more even. It reads almost like jewellery without trying to be.

Fit and sizing

The mesh strap adjusts steplessly – not via holes like a leather strap, but via a clamp mechanism in the clasp. That means: no compromises on fit, no gaps between holes that are too tight or too loose. The watch sits exactly as it should. Lug width is 20 mm and fits all Lilienthal Berlin models with that specification. The swap is tool-free in seconds.

For which look?

The mesh strap gives a watch a modern, urban-practical character. It works for a business look just as well as an everyday casual look – and is more understated than a linked steel-link bracelet. Anyone who wants to use their watch across different contexts without constantly changing the strap makes the most flexible choice with mesh.

Paired with a clean dial, the mesh strap reads particularly coherent – both elements speak the same language. But it also works well with more expressive dials: the calm strap gives the dial space.

What should I know?

Mesh straps are lower maintenance than leather – water, sweat and everyday contact don't affect the material. For sport or water-heavy activities, mesh is better than leather. For intensive water sports, check the watch's own water resistance rating.

Is a second strap worth it?

Anyone already wearing their watch with a leather strap gets the most direct character shift with a mesh strap. Same watch, completely different character – more modern, cooler, more everyday-ready. The reverse works just as well: if you already have mesh and occasionally want something warmer, switch to leather. The swap takes seconds.
